Greetings from Uttarer Dishari, a Social Services Organisation, committed to work for the wellbeing of Person with Special Needs. On 14th of May 2020, a group of volunteers from different professional fields assembled to form an NGO to extend their helping hands to the people with special needs and other societal causes. During Covid Pandemic situation while helping economically challenged people they felt to work in more systematic and organised mode. The journey began with repairing of the almost damaged house of Mrs Tripti Ganguly at Ward no 28 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation. By giving a safe rooftop to an old all alone lady the members realised the varied need of the society. But it is not possible to cater to every sectors of the society due to different limitations. So, the members of Uttarer Dishari decided to identify the focus area of working towards differently abed persons who all are blessed with academic talents, singing talents or sporting talents. Apart from this Uttader Dishari is also committed to achieve the mission of GREEN SILIGURI through regular plantation and their constant maintenance at each and every ward of Siliguri Municipal Corporation every month involving the local people. Awareness building about the need of GREEN SILIGURI is also a tireless effort of the members. Different donation programs during festival seasons and executing other services like free OXY-NURSE AMBULANCE Service during 2nd wave of Covid Pandemic to mitigate the sudden crisis of the city are also being done time to time
